The Women’s Philanthropy Institute, part of Indiana University’s Lily Family School of Philanthropy, has released their 2022 report, Women Give. Each year, the report explores gender differences in charitable giving. This year, the report centers around racial justice, gender and generosity.

Women Give 2022 found that although women have always played a role in racial justice movements, it has often been out of the spotlight. Now in 2022, women of color have more income, influence and resources available to affect change. A lot of this change started in 2020, with the George Floyd and Breonna Taylor murders.

While women are now leaders in the racial justice movement, the report also found that single women give more to charitable organizations than their male counterparts.
