Margot Duxler, who professionally goes by Fiona Quinn, has been playing the fiddle for 35 years. At eight years old, she was already writing songs and by 10, she began classical training as a violinist.

Her passion has always lied in old-time, folk, country and Celtic styles because she says, “that music tells stories and the musicians tap their feet when they play, and no one yells at them to stop!” Joni Mitchell, Carol King, Mary Chapin Carpenter and Dolly Parton are among some of her influences.

“It’s important to support female musicians because we hold up half the sky,” Quinn says.
